‘Having inherited an out of date and broken supply chain service with poor storage and layout, overstocking with the risk of obsolescence with ordering and delivery issues and a clinical team having to work from day to day in terms of planning , we had to get something done. We had to address all of this in addition to the cultural issues that affect both the theatre and supply chain teams and prevent them from co-operating and working together.
